Social Responsibilities

The Bécancour’s business community, essentially comprised of large industries, actively participates to the development of the collectivity and maintains a close relationship of transparency with citizens, including on safety and environmental stakes.

The companies established in the SPIPB also create one of the first industrial symbiotic hubs in Quebec. The exchange on products, energy and by-products is the foundation of many industries already established in the Park.

This transparency and respect of the citizens has become the main factor of the support and success of industrial projects in Bécancour. Each of the industrial projects in Bécancour has to maintain a high level of consultations with regional stakeholders and undertake these steps with a high level of openess and transparency. The SPIPB and its partners act as the forefront guides and facilitators with the project initiator during these consultations.
