Sewage and Industrial Wastewater
Domestic wastewater is evacuated through underground pipes. Once treated, the water is discharged into the St. Lawrence River. Rainwater is evacuated via a surface network of ditches and is discharged directly into the St. Lawrence.
In conformity with the regulations of the Ministère de l’Environnement du Québec (Quebec's environmental department), industrial wastewater must be treated before evacuation to eliminate all risks of pollution.
