Industrial Water
Since the use of potable water should be restricted to human needs, the Bécancour Waterfront Industrial Park operates a screened raw water distribution network for the other needs of the industries.
Industrial water, which is taken from the St. Lawrence River, is analyzed regularly and usually meets industrial requirements for cooling and various processes. The pumping station has a capacity of 250 000 m³/day.
The cost of industrial water takes into account both the maximum quantity of water required (reserved capacity) during peak periods and the quantity of water that is in fact used.
